As I was surfing the net I came accross Dorothy's site. She seems to have been through alot and has never
let down her beliefs. I was so moved by her poems, I wanted to display & share them with others.

ONE NATION
The skies exploded suddenly
Led by minions far away
A mask of terrorism showed intent
To destroy the U.S.A.....
Countless thousands lost their lives
Simply going about that day --
When securities of every kind
Were summarily taken away ---
We, as one nation, raised our eyes
To the Heavens up above
We prayed and mourned our losses
Never doubting in God's Love
Nor, in our power, as a land
To recover from tragedies ---
Standing strong - United in one accord
Renouncing our enemies ---
Our birthright and our birthplace
Home of the brave and the free
With each step, more determined
To ever, faithful be ---
One nation - Indivisible
Trusting in one Almighty God
Longing and remaining --
One nation ----
Forever, free..........

IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE
In the blink of an eye -
All that surrounded us fell away
Ashes obscured the brightness of day
Life, as we'd known it, ENDED that day....
In the blink of an eye -
Massive destruction reared its ugly head
Mourning our losses - burying our dead -
The Grim Reaper had come forth instead ....
In the blink of an eye -
Mothers and fathers lost daughters and sons
Chaos was rampant and touched everyone
Billowing smoke and filth hid the sun ---
In the blink of an eye -
People clung tightly to whomever was near
Barriers of race, sex and creed were unclear
Blurred by the UNITY soon to appear
In the blink of an eye -
Legions of angels will come forth to stand
Helping human armies defending this Land
Expecting a miracle from God's very Hands ....
In the blink of an eye -
All shall behold the mercies of God
Vengeance is Mine, saith the Lord
Tremble and fear - those who live by the sword
For by this shall you surely come to an end
Swiftly, without remedy - On this, then depend
The whole world will watch as God's judgment extends
Keep watch - For He's coming -
In the blink of an eye........

RESURRECTED
A plane tore through my building today --
It scattered the things I had on display
At first, I thought a bomb must have hit
Then, I realized, My God, THIS IS IT!!!
I'm leaving this world, even though I would stay
My life, as I knew it, has literally blown away
I seek to find shelter, to hide from all this
It's beyond my worst nightmare - it's quite hideous
To my loved ones, please listen as close as you can
I LOVE YOU!! I'M WITH YOU!! Forever, I am
As close as your breath - as near as your face
I'm covered with ashes - But also, with God's grace
I extend forth this comfort, however small
I'm hidden with Christ - He's giving the Call
Grieve, as you must - Yet, rejoice, that I live
Christ paid it all - His life, for to give
I accepted that truth in my heart long ago
Now I impart it to you, so that you will know
Remember the best part of me dwells in you
Look deep in your heart - You'll find me there too
For no one can ever remove from God's Hand
However they plunder and terrorize this land
My spirit is still shining - Look close - Can't you see?
Death struck its' blow, but without victory
My life is now lived in the memories you share
With the rest of the family - All of them there
I'm dwelling in God's House, so unaffected
The plane and the buildings fell ---
But as for me? I am RESURRECTED.......

SUDDENLY, SILENCE
This started out as any other normal day
Nothing unusual or ominous stood in my way
I boarded the plane, knowing soon I would be
Back in your presence - Dwelling safely
Shock quickly hit as we froze in mid-air
Terrorists leaped from out of nowhere
Hell has no fury as what I surmised
Horrific --- the only word to describe
As we sped through the air, World Trade Center bound
I cried out to God - countless others - The sounds
Of screaming, glass breaking, and wailing I hear
My own heart is shouting - I'm frozen in fear
Suddenly, silence - Day has turned into night
My God, and His Angels - what a powerful sight!!
No longer entangled in the largest disaster
in this nation's history ----
I'm standing upright, unhurt, unbound, and free
It is truly the FACE OF GOD whom I see........

WAR ZONE
We've come this way before - say some
The end of days has not yet come
Wars have raged throughout the years
Nothing's gone - the earth's still here
But what about the prophecies
Which foresaw events still yet to be??
They're unfolding right in front of all
Each statement proven beyond fault
We've come this way before - but, wait!!
Revelation most clearly states
That this earth will one day cease to be
When Jesus comes - A new one, will be
Yes, many wars have come and gone
We've stood our ground - Brave battles, won
But when you wrestle not against flesh and blood
The outcome is plain - You turn to God!!
For everything around today
Will all be gone - be blown away
Bits and pieces of our pasts
Yet, nothing which could ever last
Eternally, save for God alone
Believe He came - Our sins, atoned
Faith knows the worst - Yet believes the best
Only trust in God will give us rest
For a time as this will not come again
Nor has such ever been known of man
Throughout history, all evils seen
Combined, could not even begin
To account for what is yet to be
Encountered in depravity
Injustice, violence rules its cruel head
Millions tortured - Billions dead
But, God is found in every heart
Which turns to Him, to find its start
With eyes, beholding God's own Son
He's come for us - This war is won!!!
We are going HOME.....

TWO DAYS
The day the world stood still
I can't forget it - I never will
Towers fell and people died
Millions heard the heartfelt cries
People trapped inside a place
Crumbling, burning, without escape
Not prepared for war, that day
Each going about their normal ways
Lives imploded in every guise
Within - without - deep inside
Nothing can erase that day
When the Twin Towers 'blew' away
The Pentagon withstood the blows
Yet, not without substantial tolls
Buildings fell under weights too great
Perpetuated by men full of hate
For this great land, which stands for God
Sanctity of spirit becomes our rod
To defeat our foes - A final blow
Because Christ lives - Again, He shows
Us all that He's the Prince of Peace
And where He dwells - All conflicts cease
But we, on earth, still weld the sword
All marching in the name of our Lord
The day that everything stood still
Our values stood - They always will
Should everything crumble and fall at our feet
Nothing will deter us in our belief
That God is Sovereign - over All
He'll intervene for those who call
Upon His Name and seek His Face
Full of Mercy - Crowned with Grace
When this earth is no longer seen
Then that which is yet, shall surely be --
Christ descending to assume His Throne
Claiming all of us who are His own --
A day like none other will dawn that day
But not alike in any way --
Instead of ASHES covering our heads
MERCY and GRACE will crown us instead
And Revelation will be fulfilled totally
Christ has come ---
And He has set all the captives free......
